Both grinders adjust step-lessly, by 2 microns per degree of rotation (20 microns per line marker), giving you infinite levels of control as your coffee progresses after roasting.

The Classic espresso focused burr set produces richly flavoured, dense espressos with a sustained geometry that provides linear development at the espresso range, gradually opening out into coarser grinds. 

The Pour Over burr set changes the geometry early in what would have been the Classics espresso range, and this offers a range of more flavour-forward but still complex brews at the Filter and Aeropress grind settings. 

The Classic burr set yields higher TDS readings, and is renowned for its excellent, intense, rich body & sweetness; while the PO Burr gives more prominence to the bean's flavour range over density & mouthfeel, with a more balanced, blended body.

Machined from a single piece of Aerospace grade aluminium for absolute alignment concentricity, both Feld47 styles deliver unbeatable grind consistency from Turkish all the way to French press.

Our stepless, infinite adjustment dial is a no-clicks mechanism that puts you in total control of exactly the grind size you want, with an adjustment rate of 2 microns per degree of rotation across the whole spectrum of brewing methods in both burr styles

Designed to make grinding for espresso a breeze but garnering praise for its performance at filter, the Feld47's Italmill burrs give you the choice, and the beautifully rigid fixed-rod crank arm, gives an improved 'direct drive' feel to the grinding action. It has allowed us to tighten tolerances elsewhere so that even grinding at Turkish will feel almost effortless.

And unlike other hand grinders in this price range, there's no need to pay for an accessories pack to get stellar results at either brew style.

Central to driving the whole grind is the precision, centreless ground (not machined!), marine-grade steel shaft wrapped around a solid, one-piece core and 2x large format, custom made, food-grade, sealed bearings. Combined with the fixed crank arm, it's a super solid, direct response mechanism with zero movement. And it's this mechanism & crank arm ratio that makes grinding with the Feld47 incredibly light work.

We've raised the quality of the finishing touches at the top of the grinder too; there's a satisfying new magnetic mounting for both the dial lid and the bronze & walnut knob. With a nod to the past, we've added a graceful retro Knock logo pointer for the setting indicator, matching the etched aluminium of the new dial.For the grinds cup, a custom machined, precision threaded lower provides a more secure, longer lasting fit and also adds a nicer, more controllable pour that it is sized perfectly to work with portafilters from 51-58mm - think of it as a built-in dosing cup.
