For February 2025 we are now offering the Feld47 with its original espresso focused Italmill burr set PLUS Italmill's dedicated PourOver burr. 

This inner burr has a redefined cutting profile with slimmer breaking vanes and deeper cut channels that opens up the grind range in the area above espresso settings, producing a more modern, flavour forward profile for pour over and filter.

This gives more prominence to the bean's flavour range over density & mouthfeel, with a more balanced, blended body than the traditional inner burr, one renowned for its excellent intense espresso and rich body.

Simply exchange the burr for whichever brew style & profile that suits you.

Machined from a single piece of Aerospace grade aluminium for absolute alignment concentricity, the Feld47 delivers unbeatable grind consistency from Turkish all the way to French press. Our stepless, infinite adjustment dial is a no-clicks mechanism that puts you in total control of exactly the grind size you want, with an adjustment rate of 2 microns per degree of rotation across the whole spectrum of brewing methods.

Designed for espresso but garnering praise for its performance at filter, the Feld47's Italmill burrs allow the natural sweetness to shine with great body. And unlike other hand grinders in this price range, there's no need to pay for an accessories pack to get stellar results at espresso - the Feld47 is ready straight out of the box to deliver for any and every espresso machine, be it retro manual lever, e61 HX prosumer or the latest Linea from Florence.

At a glance it's clear that we've brought over some elements from the successful 2022 upgrade of our best-selling Aergrind. But the single most obvious change is around the switch from our travel formatted, flat steel crank arm to a beautifully rigid fixed rod crank arm, giving an improved 'direct drive' feel to the grind. This has allowed us to tighten tolerances even further so grinding at Turkish will feel almost effortless.

Central to driving the whole grind is the precision ground, marine-grade steel shaft wrapped around a solid, one-piece core and two large food-grade bearings. Combined with the fixed crank arm, it's a super solid, direct response mechanism with zero movement. And it's this mechanism & crank arm ratio that makes grinding with the Feld47 incredibly light work.

We've raised the quality of the finishing touches at the top of the grinder too; there's a satisfying new magnetic mounting for both the dial lid and the bronze & walnut knob. With a nod to the past, we've added a graceful retro Knock logo pointer for the setting indicator, matching the etched aluminium of the new dial.

For the grinds cup, the old rubber o-ring fitment has been replaced by a custom machined, precision threaded lower for a more secure, longer lasting fit. This also adds a nicer, more controllable pour from the catch cup and it is sized perfectly to work with portafilters from 51-58mm - think of it as a built-in dosing cup.

Powered by light-commercial 47mm Italmill golden Titanium Nitrided burrs, this all adds up to our best home grinder yet - built for espresso but equally at home with filter and immersion brews.
